Making Godly Choices

Thanks to Touchedby for sharing this latest revelation with us.

Today it  was revealed to me that the choice is mine.  No matter if it is HIS will or mine there is always a consequence.

For example:

If I choose to spend too much money on fleshy things, should HE bless my finances?
If I choose to fill my body (HIS temple) with unpure things, should HE restore my health?
If I choose to smoke or drink excessivly, should HE spare me from cancer, or a car accident?
If I choose to overeat, should HE spare me from being overweight and out of shape?
If I choose to ignore anything HE commands of me, should he bless me in any way?

HE promises us in HIS word the secret desires of our hearts, but my heart is that HE lives in me that it is HIS will, not mine.
It all comes down to pay now or pay later.  Deny the flesh now no matter how I may “feel” and reap the reward of obedience rather than give in to temporary satisfaction, as satisfaction of the flesh is temporary, but satisfaction of the spirit is eternal.  I choose eternity!!

Thank you Father for showing me your great wisdom; thank you for choosing me to be your own; thank you for changing me every minute of every day into who you intended me to be; thank you for your refining fires; I await changes so great as only you can do; thank you for your love, your faithfullness, your patience, & for being who you are, never changing and a respector of no persons; thank you for the strength, grace and favor to go through what I must do.  I consecrate myself a new, this very minute, of this day, that you have created so long ago, since before there was time, unto you.  May it always be your will not mine.
Amen
